Enthusiasm, hard work, and experience: that is what we bring to the table, and that is what it takes to make your boat transaction an exceptional experience. Our goal is to be your broker for life, not just for one sale. We are excited to share our knowledge and experience with you, and to make your time on the water as memorable and trouble-free as possible.

Meet the Founder

Michael Beers CPYB

Michael Beers, CPYB

Michael believes in the value of customer service and never hesitates to go the extra mile for his clients. He has built a loyal following of repeat customers thanks to his hard work, integrity, and experience.

Michael grew up in Pittsburgh, PA with a keen interest in boats but not much opportunity to get on the water. He began sailing casually at Boston’s Community Boating while in college, and after graduating spent a summer driving the launch at Boston Sailing Center. Boating slowly took hold of his professional life and he spent several years teaching sailing in San Francisco, where he obtained his USCG 50-ton Master’s License and got his start racing in the Melges 24 fleet out of St. Francis Yacht Club.

In 2006 Michael returned to the east coast and the following year joined McMichael Yacht Brokers, where he spent the next 16 years. He became established as one of the area’s most successful brokers of new and used J/Boats, Amels, and MJM Yachts. Michael routinely travels from Maine to Florida and across Europe to support his clients.

Michael lives with his wife and two children in Purchase, NY and the family cruises their Sabre 38 sailboat EXIT STRATEGY out of American Yacht Club.
